By at least 1 indicator, the diabetes fight is becoming worse. The percentage of people with diabetes who achieved a glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) level <7.0% actually declined from 2003-2006 to 2007-2010 (57.0% vs 52.5%, respectively).
